2020, a year like no other but a fabulous opportunity to slow down and notice the small and beautiful things. Much of the time was spent in my ‘outside studio’ painting the nature that surrounds me.
Everything seemed to slow down and go smaller. Instead of painting 1m canvases I found myself enjoying tiny watercolours!
All my workshop teaching work was cancelled but I took the opportunity to try some new things… Including portrait drawing (yet to appear on my website...still practising!), a bit of printing and a lot of photography.
As the year comes to a close, we all hope for better things for 2021… Hence much of my new work is trying to encapsulate the theme of ‘hope’
